A Glimpse into Futurism Art❖ Introduction
Futurism was an avant-garde artistic and social movement founded by the Italian writer, Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, originated in Italy in the early 20th century. It emphasized and glorified themes related to the modern concepts of the future, including speed, technology, machinery, violence and objects such as cars, airplanes and industrial cities. It was largely an Italian phenomenon, though there were parallel movements in Russia and England.
Futurist ideology influenced all types of art. It began in literature but spread to every medium, including painting, sculpture, industrial design, architecture, cinema and music.

Corrie Nielsen InterviewFascinated by form and design from young age as the daughter of a prominent American sculptor, London Fashion Week designer Corrie Nielsen obtained a First Class BA Honours degree in Fashion Design Womenswear from the world’s most famous fashion and art institute, Central Saint Martins. She worked in bespoke tailoring followed by a six- year stint at Vivienne Westwood before launching her eponymous label.
Corrie’s impressive background includes being chosen by John Galliano as the winner of the prestigious Fashion Fringe 2010 competition, establishing herself as the emerging designer to watch out for. Drawing inspiration from historical periods and combining her fascination of architectural forms and designs, she is lauded by the fashion press as a modern couturier with a truly unique aesthetic vision.

In my opinion, one of the greatest advantages to the New Submission Process, are the thumbnail examples and descriptions that appear when you're selecting a category.  It's no secret that we have misplaced deviations throughout the galleries and it's probably the most complained about topic I deal with on a daily basis. My team and I have been working hard to improve the descriptions and thumbnail examples for all of the galleries, and I'm happy

Even tho most of you are aware of the many many galleries and categories here on dA, I think most of us move in a sort of "comfort zone" between Galleries, Channels or Groups that provide us with a constant flow of new art. And sometimes we forget all the other great artforms, styles and media that are out of our "comfort zone".
