Hello $namenotrequired, could you tell us a little bit about yourself?
Hello! My name is Bart, I'm 21 and I study informatics in Amsterdam. I'm currently a temporary Marketing Intern besides my role as Community Volunteer Mentor. For the first 9 months of being a Community Volunteer I looked after the deviantART Related galleries.
When did you first gain interest in the deviantART Related gallery?
I don't remember exactly... it must be 2 to 3 years ago. I was increasingly active on dA and started realising that I had more interest in the website and its community than in literature (which is the community I originate from). I think dA suggestions and extensions got my attention first when I stumbled across them.
How important is it that proper feedback is given to the deviantART staff?
deviantART is rather unique in the emphasis it puts on listening to its members feedback. Especially in the beta testing stage it's very important that all opinions are voiced so they can be considered, as they are always all read and compiled by staff. I'm not the best to answer questions about this as I am not one of them, but there are actually several staff members for whom collecting feedback from users is a core component of their job.
What do you feel you accomplished during your time as the dA Related Community Volunteer?
I think I did a good job at encouraging the dA related community, and at being part of them too

What is your favourite part of the dA related category, that you haven't tried creating yourself yet?
Browser Scripts certainly. 
I did once make a very simple user style... but I'm not good enough yet with javascript to make real scripts. I'm certainly planning to change that

I like helping in the #help room the most. And hmm... I think it could benefit from being a separate platform optimised for its purpose (rather than being just another chatroom), but I'm well aware that wouldn't be viable currently. 
I do have some smaller improvement ideas but... I'm still working on a proposal for that

Here's some tips that may not get you a consistent spot on the front page right away, but that will definitely help getting some watchers and friends, whether you already have some, or not.
