Can you tell us a little about yourself?
...I never know what to say when presented with something like this. ^^;

I find it really difficult to define who and what I am to myself, much less to everyone else out there, especially to those people reading this.

I guess... if you take 'average' or 'normal', I'd be the girl on the other side of the world from that. The unusual, unappreciated, unknown things are what call to me most... sometimes in more ways than one. ;P

My passion is reading (unfortunately, I don't do enough of that), I like to shoot (just photography, mind), and I have made music my home. So far, it seems to be a happy lodger. :dummy:

I like to think I am not narrow-minded, hypocritical or any of that 'negative' stuff, but... we are human, so... next question?

3wyl, how did you find deviantART?
I found it in a pretty long-winded way, I suppose. I made RPG Forums back when I was a young teen, although not from scratch. After a lot of hoo-ha and drama later, I remembered a person mentioning deviantART, and because I took a break from making RPG Forums, I decided to check it out and see what it was about.

I can't say I knew what was happening here when I first arrived. I remember lurking for a long, long time (fat lot of good that did me) and mainly hanging around in the Resources & Stock Images area because I had just gotten into Photoshop then.

How did you get your username?
I think, like most great things in life, it just happened. E.W.Y.L are my initials. I think I was messing around when I happened to switch the E around to a 3. I thought it was pretty cool at the time (still do) that the 3 could be pronounced as 'Free' and the WYL could be pronounced as 'Will'. Freedom is something I am fixated on, even though it doesn't exist (oh, the irony), so yeah, it has a double meaning. It also helps that it's short, relatively original and easy to remember, I hope. :D

What do you like most about deviantART?
I joined deviantART for the community, and I still feel that way, so what I like most about deviantART? The community, definitely. I like how diverse it is, how it can be so warm and inviting, but downright scary and horrible as well. I don't think the community of deviantART can compare to many others out there... Heck, I feel privileged just being here, and being a senior member at that.

Are there any deviantART features that you have never used?
I can't recall any, truth be told... actually, does the deviantART Portfolio count? :XD:

Certainly, I use some less than others, like Muro (I can't draw to save my life), and Discover, but I'm pretty much aware of all features that exist on deviantART.
NO! I LIE! :iconnuuplz:

I have never used the Critique platform here on deviantART. :iconteheplz:

...Why? Too psychotic to list here. :D

How old were you when you first became interested in art?
Ah, I was a late bloomer. I wasn't that artistic or much interested in art when I was younger. I think I doodled, but I honestly can't remember. :O

So, seriously, it has just been something quite recent... and somewhat of a gradual process, in fact. The interest builds on a daily basis, but I first became properly interested when I first joined deviantART in 2007... deviantART can be a wonderful motivator in that sense.

InsideI watched my best friend die.
It wasn't in a hospital and it wasn't an accident on some road somewhere. There's a saying, and I guess it's also… funny… how you never know what's going on behind closed doors.
I guess you're probably thinking of suicide - overdose, hanging by the rope, or (god forbid) the knife, but... it's not that.
Because it's one thing to die and it's another to die. I believe you can exist without properly living.
What is a life? We are born into this world with no say on the matter, and yet the majority of us take for granted that tomorrow we will wake up to another morning, another routine, another day in this same old life.
Do we?
Are we happy in this life? Inside, where it counts, are we happy?
My best friend came from nowhere. One minute I had no one, and the next… I guess it's a sort of blessing that my best friend arrived when I needed comfort the most.
We began to go out and have wild trips galumphing up the roads. We made war with b

How Many. How many of us are suffering in silence?
Does anyone believe that the other person cares? That they will listen and do something, anything?
How many of us are suffering in silence?
So much that we are rendered mute, eyes to the ground, ashamed of looking up, not having the confidence to even look at ourselves, believe what is honestly right, and stand up for what we believe in.
How many of us are suffering in silence?
Our 'rights'; continuously  t  h r  a s  h e d  like what someone calls a 'thing' and you a 'body', a 'heart', a 'life'.
Our 'freedom'; [incarcerated] no longer a human being, but a 'thing' that doesn't exist and isn't even worthy of the liberty to see, hear, taste, touch and smell.
Our 'happiness'; where we don't (can't) have a conscious thought to dream of those days, cling onto those dreams, because we are too busy surviving just one. more. day.
How many?
How many of us are livi

Which artists (off and on dA) inspire you?
Oh, this is the past I hate the most. :dead:

Technically, no artists inspire me, unless you group them under the umbrella 'Humanity'. However, I do admire a lot of artists on deviantART, and I, unfortunately, can't list them all here. I would try, but I'll inevitably leave one person out and I'd feel horrible about that.

What are your pet peeves on dA?
I don't have that many pet peeves, but one thing that really bugs me on deviantART is when people are in a position to help others and make a difference but they don't. Still, I guess I'd rather people help others because they believe in it rather than help because they feel it is their duty to or they want something out of it that appeals to their selfish/self-interested side.

Art should also be created for art, not for popularity, pageviews, statistics or anything overrated like that. Art shouldn't be reduced to that... heck, life is much more than a bunch of numbers or something inconsequential in the big scheme of things. That's just me, though.

What do you think about Deviant Stamps obtaining DDs?
Ah, I don't really have any thoughts on that... I'm pretty indifferent there, and on DDs in general. All I can say is that DDs are twenty-four hour features shared with the deviantART community. If the GM liked it enough to give it a DD, I respect their decision. I try and appreciate all types of art, so I am mostly ok with whatever gets a DD. Some stamps have been awesome, some not so... it's just what art is. If that's confusing, then perhaps it was meant to be. :P

What type of music are you into?
I lovelovelove music!

I like to listen to all types, but mostly rock, indie, classical, OSTs and alternative, if you accept that. :P

My collection is huge and my tastes vary a lot. On some days, I like a particular thing and hate another, and on other days, it's the reverse. I think it depends on my mood mostly.

I also come across new artists on a daily basis, so what is hot this week isn't hot next week. Music is a fluctuating thing in that sense, but my top three has to be Breaking Benjamin, Red and Lifehouse. After that, everything else can go. :D

Oh, and Beethoven. He rocks ass. :B

What kind of movies are you into?
I'm not much of a movie fan, sorry. ^^;

I like all kinds, any kinds... I don't have much time to watch them, and I'd prefer a book any day, anyway. :P

Is there anything else you would like to add?
I'd just like to say a massive thank you to you, bradleysays, and to everyone on deviantART for making it the way it is today (good, bad, downright ugly and all!). I am pretty lucky to be here, pretty lucky to have the friends that I do and the things that I have received on this site too. A shout out and kudos to everyone who has read this and... I'll leave you with this bit as well:

I want to unfold.

ix. Unspoken Gesturesi. He shuffles around, a husk of what he used to be.
ii. I can hear him scraping his aged comb over his bristly, patterned hair. It used to be like the black paint you see in darkrooms, but… the paint's been peeling [cracking] into lifeless grey.
iii. He isn't much of a talker. He always thought that words were unnecessary in this day and age. Instead, you had to act to do something, be someone.
iv. I still remember the days where he put forth that notion of his. They were good times, I guess (we deserved them)
v. He never had a good life. I'm not sure if he ever will. He has had four brothers…With five children all vying for the five most basic needs, he came last.
vi. Born after all of them, it was sufficient enough for them to act as bBrUoLtLhIeErSs. It was a vicious cycle where his brothers thrashed him, and he thrashed other people.
